What to Bring

It is important to ensure that you have the following items available on admission.

• Any letter(s) from your doctor

• All medications that you are currently taking or a   list of your current medications and how often you   take them.

• Your Medicare card.

• Your Safety Net card.

• Any pension or concession cards.

• Your health fund details or veteran affairs   entitlement card.

• Night attire, dressing gown and slippers.

• Personal toiletries.

Your room has a personal wardrobe, bedside cabinet and locked medicine cabinet and we encourage you to consider other personal requirements.

Preparing for your Admission

Prior to your admission to Spendelove Private Hospital we ask that you consider the following checklist:

Return your completed patient pre-admission form   at least 4 days before your admission.

We will confirm your private health insurance   status with your health fund and advise you.

Anticipate communications from us about
  your pending admission, on-going care and
  health funds.


Preparing to Leave the Hospital

When leaving the hospital, please ensure you collect all your medications and your personal effects. We ask that you arrange to vacate your room by 10.00am where possible.

Visitors

Spendelove Private Hospital encourages visiting hours but to facilitate rest periods, recommended visiting hours are between 10.00am to 7.30pm. Please contact us to arrange visiting outside these periods.

Valuables

We encourage you to leave anything of value at home, including jewellery, credit cards etc, as Spendelove Private Hospital is unable to accept responsibility for the loss of valuables or money.
